A Romantic New Orleans Wedding at Il Mercato

Shea & Brennan had a romantic wedding at Il Mercato with a candle-lit ceremony in the courtyard and a fun reception afterwards which ended with an upbeat Second Line celebration down the historic streets of the New Orleans Garden District!

Thier upscale New Orleans celebration was exquisitly planned & designed by Amy Hazel Events who put together a beautiful and memorable night for Shea & Brennen to celebrate with all of thier cherished friends & family and the beautiful Il Mercato venue.

Their ceremony was held in the courtyard of Il Mercato and began just as the sun was setting over the horizon. They had lots of beautiful floral and candle decor lining the aisle and fireplace to create a dreamy and romantic setting to say their “I Do’s”.

By the end of the ceremony, everyone was laughing, celebrating, and having a good time! The photo below is a moment just after their first kiss and was captured by their photographer Rene Lorio who was a dream to work with all throughout the day and did an amazing job capturing their wedding! All of the photos in this blog were captured by her!

One of my favorite parts of their wedding day was the sweet first look moment Shea & Brennan had at Il Mercato in front of the fireplace which they had decked out with candles and a stunning floral arrangement.

Their sweet little girl Bren walked into the aisle for a brief second to (accidentally) photo bomb one of their portraits and it was such a sweet moment!!

One of the most heartwarming moments throughout their wedding day at Il Mercato was getting to see and capture Shea’s special relationship with her grandfather. Not only did Shea have a sweet first look moment with her grandfather under the archway of the Il Mercato courtyard but he also later walked her down the aisle. Getting to capture sentimental moments like these is always one of my favorite parts of my job as I know just how much it will mean to the couple years down the road to have these memories preserved!

After the ceremony, they had a fun time celebrating and dancing with friends and family inside the Il Mercato venue with the Mixed Nuts band providing a fun and celebratory atmosphere for their celebration. After their first dance, Shea had a special mother-daughter dance and Brennan also had a very sweet dance with his mother as well. After cutting the cake and toasting champaign they wasted no time in getting on the dancefloor and celebrating. The night ended with a fun second line by the famous New Orleans native Kinfolk Brass Band!

Below you can see their full wedding video which was a joy to create! They were so much fun just to be around and I hope the film reflects their vibrant and goofy personalities!

Rewinding back to earlier in the day, Shea & Brennan got ready at the Four Season’s Hotel. Shea helped thier little girl Bren get ready and she absolutley stole the show! Shea and Brennan also read and exchanged letters to each other expressing thier love, comitment, and their excitement for this next chapter in life!

Being a makeup artist and also a naturally stunning beauty, Shea needed little help getting ready and spent most of the morning hanging out with her best friends who even wrote and gave her some of the sweetest letters showing thier love and support!

I’m so thankful for the opportunity to capture Shea & Brennan’s wedding at Il Mercato and wish them many years of love and happiness to come!!
